An odd but excellent experiment – my armpit detox

I know this might be a step too far but just hear me out for a minute or 2!  Pretty please.

I’ve been using natural deodorants (chemical and toxin free) for a couple of years.  And to be honest they haven’t really worked. Plus I’m allergic to the one everyone raves about (Axilla by Black Chicken).  So when I read reviews that people could now use Axilla when they were previously getting big rashes from it, I thought let’s try something new.  What have I got to lose?

Here’s the one I used and what it looked it during the process  (a ha ha ha – great entertainment).

IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS.  I can’t recommend this highly enough and I must say I was VERY sceptical about what it would do.  But I’m really quite stinky.  Sometimes I would worry if I was offending people at work.  And if I got up and pottered around the house on a weekend by lunch time I would start feeling a bit sick from how bad I smelt.  But now I barely smell at all.  Yes you read that correctly.  I barely smell.  If I have a hangover and don’t shower all day I’m quite acceptable.  Before I couldn’t bare it – I wouldn’t be able to lift up my arms without nearly making myself pass out, but now, barely any bad smell.  It’s like magic.  It’s the best thing ever.  And yes I am using my Axilla again and it isn’t giving me any issues.  I can’t say it is the most amazing anti perspirant as I am not particularly dry, but I do smell lovely.

The detox paste is easy to use.  You put on a thin layer with your fingers and leave it for 10-15mins before washing off.  I did it before bed so I could clean my teeth and potter around putting things away while it was on.  One night I did a face mask at the same time.  So efficient.  This morning I put it on after yoga, did some instagram posts and then washed it off in the shower.  You do it for 7 nights straight.  And then it’s recommended you do it maybe once a week or when you start to notice an odour.  Once a week or fortnight is working incredibly well for me over summer.  I am fresh as a daisy!

Dare you!  Give it a go.

Be kind to yourself (and your wonderful body).
